Tammie and the building services team set up a room in McMurry Hall with several modifications on short notice. We really appreciate her followup and assurances that the room would be ready. The exams were a success! Thank you!

Brian was one of, if not our most active volunteer during the move-in process. Frequently staying extra hours to assist Housing with our move-in, Brian demonstrated a true commitment to our residential students and Northern Illinois University throughout last week and last weekend. We not have been nearly as successful without his dedication and drive.
Sgt. Jackson and Officer Wilson were an integral part in making the move-in to New Hall West a seamless process. They went above and beyond the safety and traffic management aspects of move-in and constantly made an effort to greet, support, and uplift our students and families as they moved in. We would not have had as successful move-in if it was not for their hard work and student-centered service.
Mark has provided supplemental training for me in learning new processes and protocols, always willing to share his wisdom and experience so to be more efficient. I owe you coffee! Cheers, Mark!
The CHANCE staff has worked with more students this year virtually, through phone and email. This weekend found us at our computers and talking with students and each other. In spite of the tension and stress we have been kind and cooperative and encouraging to each other and our students. While this is not new, it is new for this virtual experience.
Julie went above and beyond creating beautiful graphics and formatting for a report. Her skills never cease to amaze and she is an amazing part of the RIPS team.
Brian Schneider, Director of Residential Dining, continues to shine in his tireless efforts to support students. NIU is lucky to have a dedicated professional who is always willing to go the extra mile to serve our Huskies.
This team developed, coordinated and launched the TA Institute fully online! Your efforts provided access to this critical training opportunity for so many NIU graduate students–thank you!
Thank you for the excellent coordination and facilitation of the TA training on NIU Cultural Centers!
Building Services is very grateful to Dede for simplifying a complex data base for our use even though it was challenging and really outside her scope of responsibilities!
Brian Glick has gone above and beyond in helping the New Hall team during Move-in Week. Brian uses care in working with students, families and housing staff. As of today he will have been working with us for three days in a row and is even willing to direct traffic! We couldn’t do this without his help. Thank you Brian!
Allyn Davis is the office support specialist for New Residence Hall. Allyn worked tirelessly to review COVID-19 test results so our students could move into the residence halls safely, while assisting in preparing keys for those same students, and supporting the hall staff. Allyn did all this while also trying to prepare his family for starting a remote school year. We would have been lost with out him and I am forever grateful.
