Tammy is my go to for any questions that are HR and payroll related. If she does not know the answer (which is very rare) she will find it or direct me to the correct person. It is a truly a joy to talk to her!
Andrea always makes it her mission to see that events on campus happen with as few hiccups as possible. She made the Admitted Student Day on 3/25 the best it could be. Way to go! You are so appreciated.
Thanks to Carolyn Law for sharing her expertise with a cohort of doctoral students. She explained information about the dissertation process, resources, and graduate school support available while students are completing the final stages of their doctoral journey. The presentation addressed many questions and included tips for success to help students navigate the dissertation journey.

Ted is an amazing manager. I recently came back to NIU for employment and went to a new location on campus. Ted took the time to show me around Stevenson before my first day and gave me my uniforms so I didn’t have to scramble. He has been super helpful in helping me set up all of my emails and HR resources. He is always available to talk about areas I’m struggling with and makes working in retail dining a great experience.
Sharretta is one of the most dedicated people I know. She keeps her head down and powers through her work day in and day out. She is truly professional and kind. Without her working on extra help, our university would be at such a loss. Thank you, Sharretta, for being such a quiet force and all you are on top of that. We can’t live without you. Please know you are appreciated.

Donnie is a superb colleague to work with. He has been efficient, effective, and so kind in the process of our department building our website landing page. It has been a great experience to work with him on this project.
Anna became the program director this past January for our M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology program at the same time that I began my employment with NIU as the clinical coordinator of the same program. She has been my guide and role model when working with students, managing conflict and building an understanding of the day-to-day requirements of my position. Anna consistently goes out of her way to answer my questions and meet with me while balancing her own new role in our department. I am so grateful for her dedication!
I’m not applauding her for something specific she did, rather it’s for her overall work ethic and demeanor. She never stops. She’s obviously very committed to doing her best, proving she has such an incredible work ethic. But just as importantly, she’s quick to smile and quick to laugh. She’s one of the two or three best I’ve ever seen in my decades in the work force.
Sharretta is always a pleasure to interact with. She has a can-do attitude and is always willing to jump in and assist where needed. A definite pleasure to work with.
