Greg is an excellent partner. We are developing more outreach programming for our department and Greg has provided us with guidance. He answers our calls even when we have immediate questions, he is always there. He makes himself available after 4:30 p.m. if needed to help us get the job done. His expert advice and the knowledge he brings is invaluable and we are grateful to have him.
Linda is the glue that holds this office together. She does it all from being the gatekeeper to general office to the human resource tasks – she does it all. We are truly blessed to have her!
Yvette is the front lines of Human Resources and is truly a joy to work with each day. She is so thoughtful and kind by holding the doors when it is raining and cold among other things! Thank you, Yvette, for all you do!
Salina does the job of multiple areas with a smile on her face and is so great to be around! We are so thankful for her!
As our STEM Fest leader, Kristin exceeded all expectations. STEM Fest was a wonderful celebration of NIU and the community. Many thanks for her dedication and leadership!
Lise took on the role of project manager for STEM Fest 2021. She managed all of the details, big and small, that made the event a success. This was no small feat. We had a new venue, new (big) ideas and new team members. She kept the project moving, rallied the entire team and, because of her efforts, we had another successful STEM Fest in the heart of campus!
Every day these people come into work always fighting an uphill battle due to crew shortages, lack of proper equipment, etc., but they still accomplish what needs to get done and have still have a smile on their face. Everything they do on a daily basis is greatly appreciated and I am proud to be part of this team. They take great pride in the work they provide and consistently go above and beyond to help assist in the huge team effort it takes to make the HSC successful. You are valued and appreciated.
Tracy was flexible and and provided exceptional support of the School of Nursing’s recent accreditation visit. She provide a solution to Blackboard access for the accreditors and then worked tirelessly with the IT team in the closing hours to get everything ready. We appreciate all of her efforts! On behalf of the entire School of Nursing, please accept our heartfelt thanks.
Having recently developed a course with Diane, I wanted to reach out to note how fabulous it was to work with her. She is considerate, innovative and, most of all, has shown great patience!! It has been a pleasure to work with someone so competent at what they do.
Jamie works tirelessly, even making herself available for time sensitive occurrences, keeping herself calm and us reassured when an uproar of tasks emerge. She has continued to support the CAHE department faculty changes, respecting and embracing the different personalities and styles of engagement that decorate our department community. Also, she has gracefully extended her service to other College of Education departments informally and now formally. She is a invaluable asset to our CAHE department, college and university!
Mike answers every emergency call to come fix students plumbing issues and ensure they have a working toilet, shower or faucet, even if it impacts his personal plans. His joyful demeanor is enlightening and raises the spirits of all who work around him.
