Patty Wallace has once again shared her brilliance with doctoral students on their dissertation journeys. The IRB information shared during Patty’s presentation provides a strong foundation for students’ understanding of research ethics and procedures for adhering to the institutional requirements for research. Students asked unique questions related to complex, multi-site research projects, which Patty thoroughly addressed.
Patty’s support is deeply appreciated. Doctoral students in the cohort know who to contact if they have questions about research guidelines at NIU.

Lisa is always so very helpful. Anytime I need assistance with something she is there. She goes above and beyond to help me. She always have a friendly way about her as well, no matter how difficult the situation may be to fix. I totally appreciate Lisa!
Charle Cherry is always someone who will listen and make you laugh. Charle is a champion when it comes to his ability to assess response to support students in a wholistic way. He is an all around great dude. Charle goes above-and-beyond because is always willing to listen and he is not above any student. Charle is a great professional.
Eva is a fantastic editorial writer. Eva is a humble individual, but has a great repository of stories to tell from her work. Eva is always kind and approachable, but she is a great advocate and able to really champion a lot of the great stories she has collected in her time within her role. Eva does great work and delivers feedback in a manner that seeks to bring out one’s best, but is always kind. We are lucky to have Eva on the team!
Matt’s ability to tell a story and communicate someone’s experience is an impeccable skill! Matt is always friendly and available even though he may have a series of stories he is managing. He went above and beyond by helping. This may sound simple, but Matt is busy. However, he is always available, friendly and open to sharing his talents to support any project.
Kathy has been amazing helping our office with getting Ring Central set up. She is quick to respond and is so helpful with all of our questions. Its been awesome working with her.
Amanda is always there for us right away at the DoIT service desk for great support when we are locked out of our passwords, move files to the wrong folder or things just go bananas! She is very kind, patient, and just technically savvy. Thank you Amanda for being patient and so smart when things are technical error, simply user error. We truly appreciate you!
Katie Davison spends time supporting NIU in multiple spaces throughout the state. Katie is a leader and has many responsibilities, but in her role she always champions and shares with others the impact NIU makes to support so many! Daksha manages funding accounts for faculty and courses, in addition to other money matters in the department. She is quick to respond to queries and ensures that all your questions are answered. Thank you for all that you do!
Pat helps manage and run microbiology teaching labs. He works with faculty, support staff and teaching assistants to ensure smooth running of these important courses. His constant support and hard work is much appreciated! Above all, he is gem of a person who always greets you with a smile!
Rob is a phenomenal IT expert, who goes above and beyond to help solve computer issues. He ensures that the problem is solved and is willing to help with it as soon as he can. We have come a long way with our computer and other IT-related setup with his help. Thank you for all you do!
