For close to three weeks, Abby prepared delicious meals for our guest visitors from Uruguay. Sometimes, the dining events were scheduled at early morning hours. Abby is flexible, easy to work with, and service oriented. Thank you Abby for helping us have a successful outreach program!
Daniel led two university tours for our visiting group of 23 educators from Uruguay. He conversed in Spanish so that they could fully appreciate NIU’s attractive setting and opportunities for students. Daniel met the group on time at the pre-determined location, was energetic and engaging. The visitors were very pleased with these tours. Thank you, Daniel!
Julie goes over and above what is needed of her all of the time. One of things, I would like to highlight is that she meets with all of the students once in their 1L, 2L and 3L year to help them understand their Law School requirements. During those discussions, she takes the time to listen to them and they know from that point forward that she can either help them in the future or direct them to who they need to speak with. They continue to appreciate her support and assistance during their law school careers.
Thanks Julie for all that you do for our law students!
Mandy is our director of finance and resource planning. She has an enormous amount of work on her plate but is always willing to go the extra mile to help the office administrators in our college with whatever it is we need. She is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. We would be lost without her.
Every single day I send Diane paperwork; it is truly endless. Diane always does the work swiftly and with a positive attitude. Her efforts benefit our students dramatically. Thank you so much for your help. I would not be able to do my job without you!
Tanya is an amazing resource for our Doctor of Nursing Practice students starting their DNP Projects. I appreciate her insights on the students and her thorough updates so that I am better able to be a resource to them as they develop their ideas and work. It is clear right away from talking to her that she is so passionate about and dedicated to their success – they are lucky to have her!
Patrick is a gifted videographer and we are grateful for his support! He took a series of basic clips and turned them into an amazing piece that will surely help with our accreditation tour. Thank you, Patrick, for your time and expertise!
Butch and Dan have been amazing in helping to renovate and restore the music building spaces so that students may get the best experience possible. Their dedication to their craft and to the university is appreciated beyond measure, and we are lucky to have them among us at NIU!
Dede and Celeste have done an amazing job with room scheduling and re-opening the scheduling system at a fast pace. They go above and beyond to get the job done and keep up with all of the changes brought on by COVID protocols. Their work is highly appreciated and keeps the campus running behind the scenes. Thank you, ladies!
Testing services had to completely redesign our testing methods when the pandemic hit. No longer able to test students in person, new methods, new policies and new programs had to be put in place.
Leading us through this change with a positive attitude and an understanding of the frustrations that followed was Angela Bross, assistant director of Testing Services.
Through her dedication to our department and to NIU we came through with flying colors and continue to implement new methods for Testing Services to provide support to students and faculty. Thank you, Angela, for a job well done!
As a new dean, I am so thankful for these two, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help our college succeed. We are lucky to call them leaders in the college.
Maria goes above and beyond with her team. She is on top to provide all the support for the agriculture H-2A workers. Her experience and work ethic it show in every aspect of her job responsibilities. She is an excellent leader!
