Brian is phenomenal. He always puts folks at ease, listens attentively and responds with care and compassion. The work Brian does at EAP is truly extraordinary.
While helping to kickoff the first year that NIU has done the holistic review process, Bettie has shown commitment to the students we serve and provided great feedback to make the process run smooth. Bettie brings a positive attitude and lightheartedness to our office that is very much appreciated!
Patricia was working very diligently to help resolve a rather unique login error I was receiving. She was extremely patient, kind, and very thorough in her attempt to resolve the issue. Because of her willingness to go above and beyond with her troubleshooting efforts, we were able to find the solution. Thank you for all of your help!
Rob assisted me a number of times with a very technical issue. His expertise and patience were much appreciated.
When you look to find someone who represents the true meaning of the Huskie Pack, look no further than Tim Trottier in Housing and Residential Services. When you put him in front of visiting future Huskies and their families, he creates an atmosphere where every individual feels like they (and their needs) are the most important thing in the world. He goes above and beyond to ensure that before anyone leaves their housing tour, they have all their questions answered regardless of the topic. Tim always goes the extra mile and we thank him for all that he does for our future Huskies.
Crystal has always gone above and beyond for her staff and the entire Undergraduate Admissions team. She has been crucial in the implementation and coordination of our new application review process. She always brings a wealth of knowledge to conversations and brainstorming. Working with Crystal, you can easily see her passion and enthusiasm for all things admissions, processing, and systems!
Huge thanks to Amanda for all her work to keep the COB advisors ready for our new students at orientation. Your thoughtful, dedicated work behind the scenes is critical to our success. We couldn’t do this without your daily direction and organization for our lists!
Ted’s generous support assisting campus partners with the Slate CRM to improve and automate processes is greatly appreciated. Sometimes his support has been after hours. In our case, his effort getting us started will save us a lot of time and effort later. Ted is helping NIU move forward together. Thank you, Ted!
Dawn Galbreath is so willing to help with anything I ask. We have both been “learning the ropes” together in the work we are doing, and she maintains a positive attitude through each new learning experience. I am grateful for her patience, support, good humor, and competence in managing the work that we need to do for teacher licensure. Thanks so much, Dawn!
Shout out to Megan for her detailed work getting our COB orientation communications ready to go! Not to mention making a new process work for us – amazing! Thanks for always being thorough and making this easier for the advising team.
Pam was instrumental in the college’s first ever Spirit Week. Although she was new to the department (having just started in April in the Dean’s Office), Pam jumped in like a pro. She made sure that the week-long event was staffed with volunteers and personally covered shifts when volunteers couldn’t make it. She went above and beyond and we are grateful! Thanks, Pam!
De’Marcus always has enthusiasm when speaking to students and truly cares to provide the best experience for them. He is always willing to step in to support the office in any way he can. He is a great colleague and Undergraduate Admissions is lucky to have him!
