When I attended my Class of 2020 Graduation this past Summer 2021, I arrived in DeKalb realizing that I left my cap and gown in Chicago. Liz Wright was beyond kind enough to procure an additional cap and gown so that I could take part in this once in a lifetime day. Liz literally went above and beyond. Liz reminded me of everything that I love at NIU, and all of the wonderful people at NIU. Liz Wright was under no obligation to cover for my own lack of detail. I am the one that showed up five minutes before the ceremony without my cap and gown. I approached the gate in shorts and a Tshirt. Everyone was so professional on that day, but Liz Wright unleashed Huskie excellence and I appreciate it.
