Card Services now accepting new applications

July 29, 2019

The Division of Administration and Finance successfully rolled out the university’s new commercial card program earlier this month. Many current cardholders have already completed the electronic application and the required in-person training, which must be done before the new card can be distributed.

Training is divided into several sections and focuses on giving cardholders, approving managers and proxies more insight into the enhancements that have been made – such as how to navigate the new system, understand the new travel purchasing capabilities, and learn more about new reporting mechanisms.

“Training was very informative and helpful,” said Marzena Szmydt, with the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership Development. “Participants were engaged in a discussion that helped us become more familiar with the new system and get answers to questions on how the new travel and purchasing allowances can benefit our departments.”

Card Services (formerly P-Card Administration) will begin accepting applications for new participants on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

Applicants are encouraged to review the Online Application Guide and complete an electronic application. Applicants will receive an email when the application has been reviewed. Once approved, the applicant must register to attend one of the required training sessions. Approving Managers and Proxies are also required to attend the in-person training.
