Jennifer Johnson, director of teacher preparation for the NIU College of Education, has been named a Clinical Practice Fellow by the Association of Teacher Educators.
Selected through a competitive application process, Clinical Practice Fellows are a group of teacher educators, P-12 school personnel and clinical field coordinators who have a strong research interest in clinical practice.
Fellows attend a national symposium to network, share research interests and hear from some of the top scholars in clinical practice on “turning teacher education upside down” and putting clinical practice at the center of teacher education.
The 2019 symposium in Atlanta will take place from Feb. 16 to Feb. 18 on “Re-Imagining Clinically-Based Teacher Education Programs.”
