The NIU Student Branch of IEEE will host the largest electrical engineering student event in the Midwest in this month.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Region 4 Student Leadership Conference will be held March 16-18, at the Holmes Student Center. The event engages college students from more than 15 universities in networking and leadership activities. Planned events include industry speakers, engineering competitions, evening entertainment and leadership development workshops.
IEEE Region 4 includes higher education institutions in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The annual Student Leadership Conference is its most significant student event, challenging students to test their skills and increase their level of professionalism.
Registration for the weekend is $46 for NIU students and $30 for NIU students who belong to IEEE.
