Dialogue to explore relationship of faith, gender identity and sexual orientation

April 14, 2017

For individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, spirituality and religion can be a source of support, conflict or both. Faith & Pride: Exploring the intersection of faith, gender identity and sexual orientation is a panel discussion focused on this sometimes complex relationship.

Three panelists–who identify as Pagan, Presbyterian and Secular—will be on hand to discuss their faith in relation to their LGBTQ+ identity and answer questions related to their personal experiences with their systems of belief.  The discussion will take place on Tuesday, April 18, from 6-8 p.m. in the staff lounge of Founders Memorial Library.

This event is open to all and is sponsored by the Presidential Commission on Interfaith Initiatives and the Presidential Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.
