In February, we invited NBC’s Al Roker to NIU for Rokerthon 3. For the past two years Al Roker has traveled the country for Rokerthon breaking world records while doing live weather forecasts. This year Roker invited colleges and universities to create a video, “showing off your EPIC school spirit, telling TODAY why Al Roker should do a live weather forecast from your campus and what Guinness World Records record you’d like him to help break at your school.”
We made it through the first round as finalists but unfortunately, we were not selected for Rokerthon 3. NBC aired parts of our video entry on the TODAY show during their national broadcast on March 24, 2017. Keep an eye out for NIU at the 2:55 mark and the 3:33 mark:
