Faculty and staff judges needed for Undergraduate Research, Artistry Day and Community Engagement Showcase

March 22, 2017

NIU faculty, staff, alumni and community volunteers are needed Tuesday, April 25, to serve as judges for the Undergraduate Research and Artistry Day (URAD) and Community Engagement Showcase (CES) in the Duke Ellington Ballroom of the Holmes Student Center.

URAD and CES judges play a crucial role in this exciting event that celebrates students’ research, artistry and community engagement endeavors.

Judging consists of rating a student’s poster presentation or exhibit on the overall design, the relevance of the project, appropriate methods used, and interaction at the poster or exhibit using a rubric designed for either URAD or CES projects. We encourage you to join us for an award ceremony from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. to highlight the top three posters in each category.

URAD Judges are needed in two categories: “Science, Technology, Engineering and Math” (STEM) or “Arts, Education, Health, Humanities and Social Science” (AEHHSS). URAD judges can volunteer for one, two, three or four of these 75-minute sessions.
