NIU’s Financial Cents Program and the Department of Accountancy is proud to partner with Goodwill Northern Illinois to bring the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) to NIU. VITA consists of IRS-certified volunteers who provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
This year, NIU students, faculty and staff can visit volunteers in the Holmes Student Center Gallery Lounge to get assistance every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting Jan. 31 and ending April 11. (There will be no assistance offered March 14 during spring break.)
