Eric W. Ford, professor and associate chair in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, will visit NIU at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 31, to present “The Innovation Imperative: Regulation and Realities.”
Strategic management, health information technologies and their combined effects on performance (both financial and population health related) are Ford’s primary areas of research. In particular, he has focused on making the link between Personal Health Record use and health outcomes from the consumers’ perspectives.
Beyond his health care research, Ford is currently working on the Mobius Social Learning Information Platform to promote peer-to-peer engagement online. His research interests include information systems and how they are used to improve social interactions.
Ford will speak in the McMurry Auditorium. For more information, call (815) 753-5008 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
