If you’re bilingual, you might be eligible to earn free academic credit through NIU’s Celebrate Bilingualism Program.
Undergraduate students who can pass a standard test for fluency in languages other than English will earn up to 12 free academic credits, receive a notation on their official transcript and get a certificate of bilingual competency to show prospective employers.
Some of your peers have already taken the test – ask them how much money and time they’ve saved by earning NIU bilingual certification!
- Did you know? A recent NIU study showed more than half of Chicago-area employers say they will be hiring more bilingual employees in coming years, and bilingual workers earn at least $10,000 more per year than their single-language peers.
The next testing date is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in the Language Learning Center, Watson Hall 101. Space is limited.
