Northern Illinois University Press has just the thing.

Look through the list to see what interests you, then place your order by filling out the form and sending it to NIUPmarketing@niu.edu. Orders must be received by Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Books can be paid for and picked up at the press office, located at 2280 Bethany Road in DeKalb (at the corner of Bethany Road and Route 23). Pick-up will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, and from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13. Plan to pay with a check made out to NIU Press or cash; debit and credit cards will not be accepted.

Books in several subject areas will be available at sale prices.

Sports fans can grab a copy of “Northern Illinois Huskies Football” for just $10. History enthusiasts will find much of interest, including titles on U.S. history, Russian studies and European history. Those fascinated by railroads and transportation will be interested in “Chicago Maritime” and “The Iron Horse and the Windy City.” Biography/memoir fans will want to pick up “A Man of Salt and Trees: The Life of Joy Morton.”

Novels and short story collections from the press’s fiction imprint, Switchgrass Books, will also be on sale.

Several other titles in these and additional subject areas, including philosophy, politics, regional studies, and religion, will be available. Orders will be filled in the order they are received, and quantities are limited, so place your order early!
