NIU President Doug Baker will host an all-campus town hall meeting at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium of the Holmes Student Center
President Baker will be joined by a panel of university leaders to discuss important campus issues including the current budget uncertainty and fiscal sustainability, student recruitment and retention efforts and program prioritization.
Panel participants include:
- Lisa Freeman, executive vice president and provost;
- Alan Phillips, vice president for Operations and Finance;
- Eric Weldy, vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management; and
- Dani Rollins, director of Undergraduate Admissions.
In keeping with the importance of this event, the university has authorized release time for employee attendance at this event, including hourly Operating Staff, subject to operational requirements. Supervisors have been asked to facilitate participation for those planning to attend.
For faculty and staff unable to attend the town hall in person, the event will be streamed online through NIU Today, the NIU YouTube channel and on digital Channel 20.1 on the campus cable television system.
