Learn about the “debilitating” diseases that qualify for marijuana treatment, grow centers, dispensaries and the legal rights protecting patients.
This free event takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25, in Studio A at the NIU Broadcast Center, home to Northern Public Radio, at 801 North First St. in DeKalb.
There have been delays getting this project started and tens of thousands of patients who have qualified for medical marijuana cards are waiting to get their prescriptions filled.
Guest panelists include:
- Dan Linn, executive director of the Illinois Chapter to Reform Marijuana Laws (NORML).
- Bradley Vallerius, an Illinois attorney and author of the book “Illinois Medical Marijuana Law, A Practical Guide for Everyone.”
- a representative from PharmaCann LLC, an Oak Park-based medical marijuana cultivation company.
- “Tom,” a local patient who has qualified for a medical cannabis card.
“Context: Medical Marijuana and Illinois” is a free event and open to the public. Although reservations are not required, they are encouraged due to the limited space available.
