Judges needed for April 21 undergraduate research, artistry event

URAD judgeNIU faculty, staff and alumni are needed Tuesday, April 21, to serve as judges for the sixth annual Undergraduate Research & Artistry Day in the Duke Ellington Ballroom of the Holmes Student Center.

New this year: Undergraduate students can sign up to give oral presentations (10 to 12 minutes) in addition to the traditional poster, exhibit or digital media display presentations.

Students can sign up to present during one of four sessions throughout the day; URAD judges can volunteer for one, two, three or four of these 75-minute sessions.

  • Session One: 9 to 10:15 a.m.
  • Session Two: 10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Session Three: 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Session Four: 12:45 to 2 p.m.

Judges are needed in two categories: “Science, Technology, Engineering and Math” (STEM) or “Arts, Education, Health, Humanities, and Social Science” (AEHHSS).

Those interested in volunteering to judge are encouraged to share this information with colleagues.
