Donna Munroe
A memorial event to celebrate the life and contributions of NIU nursing professor Donna Munroe will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 5.
Students, colleagues and friends are invited to the Regency Room of the Holmes Student Center to share memories of an educator remembered for her passion toward improving the university through service on several committees.

Munroe, who joined the School of Nursing and Health Studies in 2001, died Jan. 13 in Altgeld Hall while attending a meeting of the University Council Personnel Committee.
A scholarship award has been established in her honor. Contributions to the Donna Munroe Memorial Award can be made to Northern Illinois University Foundation c/o Christine Radtke, director of Major Gifts, 138 Altgeld Hall, DeKalb, IL 60115.
