College of Law launches ‘Chicago Initiative’

November 12, 2014

Chicago skylineAs part of its ongoing commitment to prospective Chicago-based students, the NIU College of Law has spearheaded a new program, The Chicago Initiative, based at the NIU Alumni Association office, 33 N. LaSalle St.

The Chicago Initiative enables the law school to offer the convenience of its various admission programs in Chicago, as well as on its campus in DeKalb.

The Chicago Initiative is designed for prospective law students who are currently going to college or working in the city.

NIU Law’s director of admissions conducts regularly scheduled information sessions for those candidates hoping to gather detailed information on NIU Law’s curriculum, clinics and career opportunities.

For prospective applicants who are seeking admission to NIU Law’s Fall 2015 entering class, The Chicago Initiative also provides the opportunity to participate in the Admission Interview Program.

NIU Law believes that The Chicago Initiative will encourage more Chicago-based students to take a closer look at the law school.

“We have always enjoyed interest from students in the city,” said Sarah Rewerts Scarpelli, NIU Law’s director of Admissions and Financial Aid, “and we are confident that our consistent availability in the heart of Chicago’s Loop will make it attractive for those that live and/or work here to learn more about the value proposition of the NIU Law experience.”

The following dates/times have been scheduled for information sessions and admission interviews at the NIU Chicago office:
