NIU’s Office of Student Engagement & Experiential Learning will host GRE Basics one-day sessions in October and November.
This one-day format aims to increase students’ familiarity with the GRE, accommodate busy schedules and provide a quick and detailed overview of the GRE.
The one-day GRE Basics Workshops will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, and from noon to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14. Each one-day session will cover the same materials, including what the GRE is, the sections offered, types of questions and basic study tips.
Students planning to take the GRE are encouraged to attend at least one of the one-day sessions; students are not required to attend multiple sessions. Students attending a one-day session will receive the GRE Test Prep Book, valued at $40.
A $20 dollar registration fee must be submitted to by cash or check to OSEEL on or before the day of the event. Registration is available online.
