The monthly breakfast series will return Thursday, Oct. 23, and is scheduled through March.
Breakfast with Bennett is a first-come, first-serve event at the Lincoln Inn, held in the back room banquet area of the restaurant.
Fans will be served breakfast and a beverage for just $10.
“This is a such a tremendous way to engage with the NIU family. It’s important to reach out and maintain these relationships with our fans so we can keep them informed with what’s going on in our basketball program” said head coach Kathi Bennett.
“We’re very happy to be back at Lincoln Inn for the second year. It’s a great spot and they really take care of everybody there,” she added. “I hope fans bring their appetite and are ready to talk basketball.”
The first edition of Breakfast with Bennett will feature volleyball coach Ray Gooden, who is now is in his 13th year with the Huskies. Gooden has led the Huskies to a 6-0 start in the Mid-American Conference and an overall record of 13-7.
The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the banquet room at Lincoln Inn, 240 E. Lincoln Hwy. Fans can mingle with Coach Bennett and basketball staff members as well Coach Gooden and other members of the NIU Athletics staff before a chalk talk presentation by Bennett.
