Through an enterprise agreement, Qualtrics is now available free of charge to all NIU students, faculty and staff. The Qualtrics tool replaces third-party survey applications such as Surveymonkey.
NIU’s College of Business has been using Qualtrics since last fall and has found it to be a great product with many options, easy to use and robust and well-supported. The college’s path-finding efforts have resulted in NIU provisioning Qualtrics for the entire campus community.
Users who previously set up accounts at the College of Business’ Qualtrics site will now log in at niu.qualtrics.com, where all of their data and surveys are now located.
Those using Qualtrics for the first time are instructed to visit niu.qualtrics.com and register existing NIU accounts using current enterprise user ID and password information. A separate account is not needed.
As a web-based solution, the Qualtrics survey tool is hosted and supported by Qualtrics.com. The company provides all the necessary training and tutorials online. Users can contact the Qualtrics help desk by emailing [email protected] or by phone at 1-800-340-9194 from 4 p.m. Sunday through 8 p.m. Friday.
Founded in 2002, Qualtrics describes itself as the “leading supplier of enterprise data collection and analysis,” by using surveys to help its clients gather customer data that will improve their approach to the customer experience. In addition to NIU, current Qualtrics clients include Kellogg, Cornell University, FedEx, the U.S Air force Academy and Comcast.
