Move-in Day a communiversity event

Approximately 3,100 new students (freshmen/transfers) are moving in to Northern Illinois University residence halls beginning Friday, joined by 900 returning students who will be moving into their residence halls over the course of the weekend.

Additionally, almost 1,250 returning students and 105 university faculty, staff and administrators—including NIU President Doug Baker—are joining local leaders and alumni in assisting in the move-in process.  A total of 4,239 are expected to live in NIU residence halls this year.

Here is how Friday’s move-in looked to students, families and administrators as chronicled in the @NIULive Storify.
