MAP-Works training required for faculty, staff participants

August 1, 2014

MAP-WorksAs MAP-Works prepares for its sixth year, the Office of Student Academic Success (OSAS) will be hosting several training sessions to provide users with important resources to successfully utilize the program.

This year, all faculty and staff who intend to participate in MAP-Works will be required to attend a training session before being granted access.

“Our mission is to empower campus partners to utilize MAP-Works in the way that best suits their department’s individual needs while still supporting the broader mission and purpose of MAP-Works,” said Randi Napientek, assistant director of Student Academic Success.

Training sessions will be based on the needs and the requests collected from user assessments that were conducted by OSAS in May. Training will cover various topics including FERPA, locating and managing your students, accessing student reports, data mining and more.

Training will be held in Cole Hall Room 106 on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 15, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
