The fastest and easiest way to change your password is to do it yourself online, just like at Google or Amazon. To match that ease of use, we’re turning on security questions. Once these are filled out, you may never need to call the Help Desk again.
Effective Tuesday, Aug. 5, the next time you log in to the Information Technology Password Self Service tool (password.niu.edu), you will be prompted to set up security questions if you do not already have questions and answers saved in the system.
No need to wait until Aug. 5 or your next password expiration. Save time later and log in now to set up your security questions.
You can access Password Self-Service from any NIU website by typing password into the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the page and then clicking on the “Information Technology Password Self Service” link in the search results.
