Ladies Night! NIU football hosts July 30 women’s clinic

July 10, 2014

Go Huskies! For the sixth consecutive summer, NIU Football is inviting women from throughout the region and across Huskie Nation to the NIU Football Women’s Clinic.

This year’s edition will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, beginning at the Jeffrey and Kimberly Yordon Center before moving onto Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.

The fun, informative and interactive program is led by NIU head coach Rod Carey with assistance from his staff and members of the Huskie football team.

After a social hour where participants enjoy drinks and appetizers and a chance to talk to the players, the ladies break into groups for classroom sessions, tours of the NIU football facilities and more. The action then moves to the field where the ladies are “coached” by the players in different drills.

The event concludes with a “team photo” and, of course, the Huskie Fight Song!

Registration for the unique evening of Huskie Football fun is $60; proceeds benefit NIU student-athletes through the Huskie Athletic Fund. Register online at or call the Huskie Athletic Fund at (815) 753-1923. Walk-ups on the night of the Women’s Clinic are also welcome.

Sign up a foursome ($650), as an individual ($175) or as a sponsor. Non-golfers can attend the luncheon only, which features introduction of football team members and a preseason update from Coach Carey, for just $45. A special golf price for young alums (graduated in last five years) of $125 also is available.
