Off-Campus and Non-Traditional Students to hold Appreciation Week

Photo of cars in trafficOff-Campus & Non-Traditional Student Services will host its annual Appreciation Week from Monday, April 14, through Thursday, April 17.

This week is designed specifically to recognize students who identify as one or more of the following populations: living off-campus, transfer students, student parents, commuters, returning/adult students and/or military students.

Monday, April 14
Student Choice Awards
7p.m., Duke Ellington Ballroom
Holmes Student Center

Recipients of the OCTNSS Eli Whitney Award of Excellence, as well as recipients of numerous other awards, will be recognized for their contributions at this ceremony. All NIU students are welcome to attend and join in the celebration.

Tuesday, April 15
Midday Massage
11 a.m. to 3 p.m., OCTNSS Lounge, Holmes Student Center Basement

A masseuse from Bodyworks Massage Therapy will be in the OCNTSS lounge providing 15 minute seated chair massages. Spaces are limited; RSVPs are necessary.

The Residence Hall Association, Student Association, and OCNTSS have partnered up to provide a night of free bowling, games, music, food, beverages, and fun to all NIU students and family members.

Thursday, April 17
Town Hall Meeting & Appreciation Dinner
5 to 7 p.m., Campus Life Building Room 100

NIU students who identify as one of the more of the populations that OCNTSS represents are encouraged to come speak their minds. This event offers an opportunity for students to discuss campus issues and joys and have them heard in a safe and welcoming environment. RSVPs are required.
