Women helping women in the workplace – or not?

Alecia SantuzziNIU psychology professor Alecia M. Santuzzi and several of her students have posted a new blog entry in Psychology Today, examining research on whether some women in the workplace might be inclined to pull up the ladder after breaking the glass ceiling.

Some research studies indicate that might indeed be the case, Santuzzi says.

Graduate students Sarah Bailey and Jasmin Martinez, along with undergraduate Giulia Zanini, contributed to the article, titled “Women Helping Women in the Workplace – Or Not?

One reason that women might not support each other is to avoid a marginalized status in the workplace, the researchers say.
