The Northern Illinois University Alumni Association invites alumni and friends Tuesday, April 1, to Jazz in New York City.
The regional event begins at 7:30 p.m. with NIU’s Rosebud Jazztet at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, fifth floor of the Time Warner Center, 10 Columbus Circle.
Seniors and graduate students make up the award-winning Jazztet and are recognized as scholars in their music field. The group has performed across the country and in Canada, Peru and Colombia.
After the concert, guests are invited to enjoy an open bar and appetizers during a reception, which begins at 8:45 p.m. at the Stone Rose Lounge in the Time Warner Center.
NIU Alumni Association members are free and the cost is $30 for nonmembers. Registration is available online.
The NIU Alumni Association, which serves 225,000 alumni worldwide, is focused on building lifelong relationships with alumni, prospective students, corporate partners and friends through programs and special events.
