The Northern Illinois University volleyball team will compete in a four-weekend schedule this spring, the program announced Wednesday.

The Huskies kick off spring action Saturday, March 22, when they host the Salvani Playdate. The field will include in-state rival Western Illinois, Kishwaukee College and Illinois Central College.

The following weekend, NIU stays at home to host the Huskie Playdate, where they will challenge Missouri Valley Conference foes Northern Iowa and Loyola (Ill.), in addition to Premier Volleyball League club Badger Blizzards.

Northern hits the road for the first of two-straight weekends Saturday, April 5, when they head up to Milwaukee for the Marquette Tournament. Hosted by the defending Big East champion Golden Eagles, the Huskies will also face Horizon League members Green Bay and Milwaukee to go along with MVC schools Illinois State and Loyola.

The Huskies cap their spring schedule Saturday, April 12, with the UIC Tournament. In addition to the host Flames, NIU will also take on DePaul, Lewis and Kishwaukee.
