Mike Penich has recently been promoted to partner at Franklin, Tenn.-based Cumberland Consulting Group. He received his bachelor’s degree in Operations Management & Information Systems from Northern Illinois University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Penich, who joined Cumberland shortly after the company’s inception in 2004, has over 14 years of consulting experience managing complex technology projects for clients across many industries including healthcare. He has worked with hospital systems, correctional health providers, federally qualified health centers, and managed care organizations.
Penich specializes in project management, large group facilitation, systems analysis and design, and requirements gathering and management. He has extensive experience leading both custom development and package implementation projects. Prior to joining Cumberland, he was a consultant at Ernst & Young in the firm’s Chicago Advanced Development Center.
Penich is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society and has a depth of experience in managing complex technology projects for a variety of providers including hospital systems, correctional health providers and managed care organizations.
