NIU alumnus named Idle Free VP

idleFreeIdle Free Systems, Inc. announced the promotion of Northern Illinois University alumnus Jason Hufford from Central Region Sales Director to Vice President of Sales.

“I’m pleased to announce the promotion of Jason to VP of sales,” stated Robert Hopton, CEO of Idle Free Systems, noting the company’s rapid growth and success in the market with its auxiliary power unit. “Jason’s experience, leadership and dedication since joining Idle Free have been crucial factors in his success in establishing Idle Free as a clear leader in the electric APU market.”

Hufford started his Idle Free career in 2011 as Central Region Sales Director. He quickly became a respected and trusted member of the Idle Free. His consultative selling approach is perfectly aligned with company values and has made him a genuine resource for our customers that are in need of an anti-idling solution that they can depend on to save them money. Hufford has the innate ability to quickly identify fleets’ needs, demonstrate Idle Free’s value pertinent to each fleet and develop a solution that enables a fleet to deliver greater profits and business performance across the organization.

Prior to Idle Free Systems, Hufford was in sales with Glacier Bay Technology and Bergstrom Climate Systems. He completed a Tech Engineering Program at Rock Valley College before finishing his bachelor’s degree at Northern Illinois University.
