The Northern Illinois University Alumni Association invites alumni and friends to a preseason game on March 14 at the new Cubs Park in Mesa, Ariz.
The Cubs will play the Los Angeles Dodgers at 1:05 p.m. at the spring training ballpark, located at 2330 W. Rio Salado Parkway.
As part of his Welcome Tour, NIU President Doug Baker will be there to share his plans for student career success and other university advancements.
During the game, guests will have a chance to win autographed baseballs that President Baker used during his first pitch at Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Field.
A full lunch buffet and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks will be served.
The event costs $50 for dues-paying NIU Alumni Association members and $60 for nonmembers. The cost covers a game ticket, the full buffet and all drinks. Visit myniu.com to register.
