Edible EducationNIU’s Office of Student Academic Success will host Edible Education,  a series of informational workshops that include free lunch.

The workshops are geared toward creating events that are student-centered and encourage student success initiatives.

Lunch is provided to make this a comfortable environment for students to relax and engage with their speaker.

Building Your Resume

  • Wednesday, Jan. 29, noon to 1 p.m., Campus Life 100

Having a solid resume is critical to landing that first job or internship. Hear from Career Services about tips and resources to help you with the resume-building process.

Internships 101

  • Wednesday, Feb. 5, noon to 1 p.m., Campus Life 100

There are many resources available to students that can help with internships. Come find out what you can do to land an internship that will prepare you with real-world experience!

Time Management

  • Thursday, Feb. 13, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Holmes Student Center, Illinois Room

This workshop will help students learn useful tips and ideas to better manage time and increase personal productivity.

Reading Strategies

  • Thursday, Feb. 20, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Stevenson North Multipurpose Room 113

Reading may be hard work, but it can be easier with the proper tools. Learn about the difference between reading for pleasure and reading for class to make your study time more efficient. Be sure to bring a textbook from a class!
