Full-time students are now invited to apply for scholarships worth $2,000 to $3,000.
Undergraduate scholarships worth $2,500 – $1,250 each semester (fall and spring) – are available to NIU students who have a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average from all colleges attended.
Students must be currently enrolled, transferring to NIU or re-entering an undergraduate program at NIU with some coursework completed. They also must attend the fall 2014 semester and the spring 2015 semester full time (at least 12 semester hours) at NIU.
In addition, a student’s community and university involvement will be considered. Applications must be postmarked by Monday, Feb. 3.
A second scholarship program is provided by the O’Brien Vrba Scholarship Trust for full-time juniors, seniors and graduate students. This private scholarship provides $2,000 to $3,000 for the 2014-2015 academic year to undergraduates with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and to graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The annual adjusted gross income of a family cannot exceed $75,000. Leadership and civic or community involvement will also be considered.
All documentation for this scholarship must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 15.
