Billy Currington to play March 20 at Convo

Billy Currington: We Are TonightCountry artist Billy Currington will stop Thurday, March 20, at the NIU Convocation Center with his “We Are Tonight” tour.

Special guests Brett Eldredge and Chase Rice will opn the 7:30 p.m. show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the “We Are Tonight” tour go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24. All seats are reserved except for the pit in front of the stage. Tickets are $35.50 for the pit, floor and lower bowl seats. Upper bowl seats are $28.50.

Tickets can be purchased at the NIU Convocation Center box office, all Ticketmaster Outlets, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.

Dues-paying members of the NIU Alumni Association can get tickets before they go on sale to the public. Members will receive a presale code in an email a day in advance to use from 10 a.m. to midnight Thursday, Jan. 23.

Currington released “We Are Tonight,” his first album in three years, in September. The album features his No. 1 hit single, “Hey Girl,” and current single, “We Are Tonight.” Currington is a Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling artist whose No. 1 singles include “Don’t,” “Good Directions,” “Let Me Down Easy,” “Must Be Doin’ Something Right,” “People Are Crazy,” “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer” and “That’s How Country Boys Roll.”
