Butchart Gardens

American history and scenic wonders await travelers this June on the NIU Alumni Association’s Pacific Northwest Grandeur vacation.

Enjoy the luxury of first class hotels as we travel through majestic mountain ranges, admire rugged beaches, explore the historic encampment of Lewis and Clark and visit glorious flower gardens.

One of many highlights of this tour is Butchart Gardens, a group of floral display gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada, located near Victoria on Vancouver Island.

The creation of Butchart Gardens began more than a century ago; today it is one of the world’s premier floral show gardens, with a Japanese Garden, Italian Garden, ducks, peacocks, elaborate birdhouses and more than 1 million bedding plants from more than 900 varieties.
