The DeKalb Festival Chorus will present its fall concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
“This Shining Night” will take listeners on a journey from the darkness of the fading year to the promise of renewal. The concert will feature amazing music by Beethoven, Brahms, Copeland, Lauridsen and Gjielo. It will focus around Gjielo’s dynamic Dark Night of the Soul, which will be directed by Seth Houston with accompaniment played by pianist Abigail Mogge along with the Silhouette Strings.
The concert will be held at First Lutheran Church, 324 N. Third St. in DeKalb. Tickets, which are $12 for adults, $8 for students and $25 for a family, are available at the door.
