Campus Rec to launch internship program

The program is designed to offer students a practical application experience, thus bridging the gap between the academic setting and career goals and aspirations.

Campus Recreation interns will be given the opportunity to learn about the foundation of the department and program areas. They can assess their skills in an active, learning environment, test their current knowledge and develop new skills within their areas of interest.

The working atmosphere will encourages personal and professional growth to assist in accomplishing students’ individual goals.

After completion of the program, students will have engaged in meaningful career-oriented responsibilities designed to increase knowledge and skills and improve upon weaknesses. Student also should be able to integrate classroom theory with real-world working experiences, and will have improved confidence, competence and insight into personal skills and attributes.

Campus Recreation works with students pursuing any academic major to design an internship that meets their needs. Studies in kinesiology, physical education, health promotion, business, marketing, accounting, graphic design and environmental studies are just some of the majors that can fulfill an internship at Campus Recreation.
