Bill Finucane
NIU Transportation and the Division of Finance & Facilities are hosting a farewell reception Tuesday, June 11, for Bill Finucane.
The event takes place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Altgeld Hall Room 315 (the Board of Trustees Room). Remarks are planned at 3 p.m. All are welcome.
Finucane, longtime manager of the transportation department, started at NIU in 1975 as extra help. In the nearly four decades since, he became a leading force in transforming the university’s fleet into the largest “green” fleet in Illinois.
A double NIU alum with a master’s degree in public administration, Finucane recently was elected as an alderman on the DeKalb City Council.
