Identity theft is a growing threat in today’s technology-driven society.
DeKalb Circuit Clerk Maureen Josh and County Clerk and Recorder John Acardo are joining together to promote a community shredding event from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6.
All members of the public are invited to attend the event, which takes place at 110 E. Sycamore St. in Sycamore.
There is no cost, no ID check and no limit to how many documents and other papers citizens can bring for shredding.
Shredding is provided by Cintas.
