Due to the continued snowfall and worsening road conditions, in addition to enforcing the snow emergency routes by issuing parking citations, DeKalb police has begun towing vehicles that are in violation of those snow route parking prohibitions. Disabled or improperly parked vehicles deemed to be hazardous to vehicular traffic may also be towed, even if not on a posted Snow Emergency Route. This will continue until the conclusion of the snow emergency.

Updates will be posted on the NIU website at www.niu.edu/weather.
