Judges are needed for the Region V IJAS Science Fair, which takes place Saturday, March 23, in the Holmes Student Center.
Science fair judges play a crucial role in an event that encourages the study of science among junior high and high school students, who participate in the fair by writing research papers and creating projects on science topics.
Interested volunteers report at 8:15 a.m. to the student center, where they are divided into groups and briefed on the guidelines for evaluating the student projects. Judging is usually completed by 1 p.m.
