Northern Illinois head football coach Rod Carey will introduce his first signing class and his new assistant coaches at NIU’s 2013 Signing Day Reception.

All Huskie fans are invited to attend the event, scheduled Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the NIU Convocation Center prior to the men’s basketball game between NIU and Bowling Green.

It begins at 6 p.m. in the main lobby of the Convo.

Copies of written biographies detailing the signees’ high school accomplishments will be available. Members of the Huskie football coaching staff, including new additions Thad Ward, Roy Manning, Brett Diersen and Tim Polasek, will be stationed throughout the lobby area to talk to fans about the recruits.

In addition to the football staff, representatives of Northern Illinois’ men’s soccer, women’s soccer and women’s track and field/cross country programs will be on hand to discuss their 2013 signing classes. Fans will be able to mingle with the coaches, purchase food from the concession stand and hear directly from Carey.
