Chicago Tribune political reporter Rick Pearson will visit campus to deliver a talk on the 2012 election.
Sponsored by the Friends of NIU Libraries,the event will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in the staff lounge on the lower level of Founders Memorial Library. The event is open to the public.
Pearson’s talk is titled, “Election 2012: The Voters Get Their Say and What Lies Ahead.” Pearson has been covering politics at the local, state and national levels for nearly three decades, including the last 24 years at the Chicago Tribune. He also does political reporting and commentary for WGN-TV.
Free parking for the event is available after 7 p.m. in the Visitor’s Parking Lot located on Carroll Avenue. The lot is located just west of Founders Memorial Library. A campus map is available online.
