“Rake in” some good deeds by getting out and helping others from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.

This service opportunity allows NIU students to give back to the local DeKalb community as well as to engage with local residents.

Volunteer registration forms are available online.

Volunteers may register as individuals or in teams of eight or fewer. Student organizations looking to get involved are encouraged to register multiple volunteer teams.

Individuals and non-profit organizations can apply to be a site location for volunteers by completing the job site request form and submitting it via mail, email or fax. Because of logistical factors, including transportation and the event timeline, those sites in DeKalb and Sycamore will be given first priority. Applications for project sites are now being accepted.

Registration for volunteers and project site requests are both due Friday, Nov. 2.
