NIU offers information on voter registration

Photo of VOTE buttonThe 1998 Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act requires Northern Illinois University to make good faith efforts to provide students with voter registration forms prior to presidential and gubernatorial races.

Voter information is available on the Illinois State Board of Elections website, including a pamphlet titled “Registering to Vote in Illinois.”

Illinois residents can register in person at the office of the election authority, at driver’s license facilities, with deputy registrars who are appointed in each jurisdiction, or via mail using the Illinois Voter Registration Application available in English and Spanish.
