Faculty members, teaching assistants, administrators and support staff are invited to browse among more than 40 university support units available to them, said Cherie Quillman, information technology coordinator for NIU’s Faculty Development and Instruction Design Center.

“The expo will introduce faculty and staff members to all the resources available to them, and show where they can go to get answers concerning teaching, professional development, research and scholarly activities-related issues,” Quillman said. “Last year’s expo was a success, and we hope this year’s will be even bigger and better.”

A number of academic support units, student resource services, employee-related offices, programs and committees will share their resources and services at the expo, and there is no registration necessary to attend.

“New faculty and staff will find the expo to be a valuable introduction to what is available to them on campus,” said Deborah Haliczer, director of Employee Relations in Human Resource Services. “But last year, even experienced members of the faculty and staff were impressed to learn about resources that were not familiar to them.”

The expo is sponsored by NIU’s Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center, Human Resource Services and Document Services.
